Just came back from doing a batch of tests including an MRI scan and the Doctor reckons I'll be back to PBing in no time. Well he didn't say that exactly but he did say I haven't got a rupture, any bleeding and or brain tumor.
I have to go back for "a talk" but no worries I'm good to start back training for Townsville as soon as I feel up to it. The pills he gave me seem to be lessening the headache but I'll have to break my streak of 8 weeks of running no stop everyday and rest up a little today and maybe tomorrow.
"Live long and prosper" or should that be "Run long and taper" ?
Hurrah! That's a big relief, I bet.
ReplyDeleteGood news indeed!!!
ReplyDeleteHere's my sympathy comment.
ReplyDeleteDoes this mean you're returning the condoms to the chemist?
I hope in "the talk", you do get the go-ahead to bury yourself in training. I want a 2:50:08 in Townsville. Worth getting checked though - a girl from Calwell once had a very bad headache during training and it turned out to be an aneurism - hospitalised, but all OK now and she still runs.
funny (now that you're not really sick!)
ReplyDeleteAfter I stopped running in the mid 90s I had almost constant headaches for about two years. Couldn't have been the exercise headaches, must have been the other cause ;-)
ReplyDeleteWent to the brain doctor and he gave me some pills and a packet of condoms and within a few days they stopped. I find I am OK as long as I keep taking them.
Apologies for the delayed sympathy comment. I used to get exertional headaches but I gave up sex once I took up running.
ReplyDeleteGood news Scott. No excuses now!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that, Scott. I think a few days of rest will do you good. Have a good summer!
ReplyDeleteSorry my sympathy comment is a little late. Glad to hear it's nothing serious but do take it easy!
