It's Cricket

I heard that Australia is in the final of the "World Cup of Cricket." Thought I'd post this by way of congratulations. If I had to pick one thing that I love most about Australia I'd say it would have to be cricket.

  2. Yeah, great ad! And thanks for the World Cup reminder, I forgot it was on. That's how much of a fan I am.

When I was younger (so much younger than today) we were allowed to have the cricket on at work and I couldn't figure out why the boys would laugh everytime I asked "who's winning?", especially if I did so during the first innings.

  3. Long live cricket in the dark!

I hadn't seen that. Good one.

  5. No 2P but we do have a lot of "fine legs."

  6. There are in fact amateur cricket teams in Japan, at least in the Tokyo area. But it is so far off the radar it is not funny, actually, it is so far off the radar that it *is* funny, and most players would be foreigners, and most of them more likely sub-continental (lots of Indian IT engineers in Tokyo). A month or so back on my way to work I saw a Japanese woman on my train with some sporting kit and what looked suspiciously, and incredibly, like a cricket bat sheathed in a case. I wanted to ask her if she was a cricket player, but then it was my stop. Another great story comes to a premature end.
