What the Hell!?

My house has been shaking like this since yesterday? Very freaky stuff? Watch video and tell me what you think!

  1. Have you seen Ocean's Thirteen? Some bank robbers are boring a tunnel under your house.

  2. Is it a house or unit? Are any of your neighbours experiencing it? I was thinking earthquake (seeing as your in Japan) but I highly doubt that it'd go on that long. Very weird!

  4. Yes, the first thing to do is to check the neighbors. I'm sure their houses must be shaking also (there's no reason why it would be only yours). Then you can all decide together what to do.

  5. It stopped at 12:00 noon on the dot! The neighbors on two side had zero shaking in their houses!

We still have no clue what it was!

  8. It still could vibration due to mild seismic activity or wind - maybe your house has a different vibration freuency to that of your neighbours. One of the most high profile structural failures due to vibration was the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, which collapsed in November 1940 a few months after it was built. I don't think your house will suffer the same fate. It's probably as Rick suggests or maybe a central heating boiler on a timer - hence the 12 noon shut-off.
