Good News

This morning I received a package in the post and on opening it I was surprised to find a trophy for 6th place in my age group in the Takatsuki marathon! You remember the one where they stopped us so close to home. I didn't end up contacting them as I found in the small print where they said they may have to stop because of traffic concerns, so I just accepted it.

But it seemed someone knew what happened. It was either an official or the guy that passed me to get 6th that helped with this but I shouldn't have doubted that things would be put right. It is not for no reason that the Japanese are known for being honest and honorable. I was very happy about this.

  1. Hooray!

Glad they noticed, and acknowledged your run/place.

(Also, shouldn't HAVE. You're an English teacher! B-, and no gold sticker.)

Not only can you feel good about being acknowledged and 'karma'coming about but you didn't behave badly about it either so you still have your respect and honour.

  8. Well, if we're going to be checking grammar...the guy who passed me....

Thanks for the piriformis tip. I had forgotten that that was your problem. I'll check the video.

  9. Bugger. Bob passed me before I could pull you up on a past mistake.

Now you'd better delete that angry video where you ripped into the organisers with expletives straight out of your tweets.
