Face Meets Road

Looked worse when it was bleeding and I was spiting out asphalt!

Running in the rain today and slipped, coming down on my face. Pissed off at my arms as they didn't want a bar of the road a threw themselves up out of the way leaving my poor old kisser to bear the brunt.

Got 4 stitches and chipped and sore teeth but the hardest thing will be how to convince my wife of the need to do my long run tomorrow(Sunday).

I'd have trouble convincing MYSELF to go for a run with that!

Something to scare your students with, though.

  4. Jeez Scott that looks sore. Got a few stiches in the same spot in 09 when my face met the back of a car coming off a bike. Enjoy the long run.

Ps the advantage of having facial hair is that it covers the scar.

  5. Yeow!
A friend of mine did that a couple of months ago. Totally face-planted and ended up breaking her nose. Who knew that running was a contact sport?!

  6. Ouch! At least you won't have to kiss her for a while. That's the best I've seen since CJ invented "doing a CJ." Might be time to switch your running to a grass track.

  7. By the way, you could get a walk-up start as an extra on Dawn of the Dead Pt 3.

  9. Oooooh! Looks sore. Managed to do something similar myself recently but thankfully my arms cooperated and broke my fall, along with my arms, knees and right hip! Needed painkillers to sleep but no stitches thankfully, especially so, when you cannot afford health insurance in the 'land of the free'.

I'm sure the Mrs knows you well enough to only question your sanity once. Heal quick
