Another video post. Things happily on track. I hope you are well.

  1. Thanks for the update Scott. You're going well! Do you put the achilles improvement down to consistent higher mileage or the PT you've been doing?

Amazed this will be your first track race. If Kawauchi's example is anything to go by you should run a great time off that marathon training. I'd bet you a 6-pack of Coopers on not beating my 9:56 PB but I think you will (and I'm tight).

  2. That was a good 32k run. Glad to know you are feeling good.
Thanks for you comment. yes, I figure you might as well stay cheerful when injured, complaining is not going to heal it any faster.

  3. Hey Ewen I'm not exactly sure why my achilles made a mends but seems like it may well be that getting a bit of consistency helped! Certainly they didn't respond to rest days as you'd expect.

  5. konnichiwa Brown-san, just found your interesting blog by doing a search of Osaka Marathon blogs. i will be running, or shall i say jogging, better yet i will say finishing the Osaka Marathon this year. i haven't run a marathon since 2000 and i will not be as fit as i would like but i love Osaka...of course, i love takoyaki more than running but it will be an achievement. i have been probably been to Osaka about 30 times since 2003 staying with a kind family in Minoo. if you get a chance, could you send me an email: kevntony2@mac.com

sub 2:30 marathon (for you) ... SAIKO!!! very inspiring! Ganbatte!
