Running in Japan Episode #14

  1. Interesting re the toe problem Scott and how it can cause injuries up the line. Sounds like your shoes are typically too narrow in the forefoot/toe area. I can relate, as I have wide feet and find it hard to get shoes that fit. I've even taken a Stanley knife to shoes - cutting a slit in the side of them so the toes can push out of the upper.

  2. I have a gap between my big toe and second toe, but the others are close together. So I assumed that was normal. Actually, I think most people have toes like that, because we've all been wearing shoes all our lives.

But I also have had, and still have, a glute issue. So I'll look for the toe separators. Who knew?
