Beside You

Since coming back from holidays I've been little shocked to be thrown into work so soon. I was at work within 12 hours of arriving. Still sort of glad to be back into it as a few weeks more and I might have started thinking I could have done without it and stayed on holidays ;

A lot has been going through my mind of late and part of the reason I've only posted once since returning is that I have so many different thoughts I can't decide what to write first. How's that for an excuse?

Anyway, while I gather myself please take a listen to my "Song of the month."

I'm sure I'm not the only Iggy Pop fan.

  1. That's as good an excuse as any, Scott!

  2. Easy man. Holidays and other disruptions from the routine tend to have that kind of effect on the mind. Take your time to work through the issues and especially concentrate on what your priorities are/must be. Everything else kind of falls into place. Unless you're having a mid-life crisis, in which case, anything I or anyone else can say will be of no use whatsoever. ;-)

  3. You must have a Lust for Life, surely?

  4. You're too bloody young to be having a mid-life crisis! Any 50-year-old bastard would know that.

    Iggy's cool. He drives an ugly old Citroën and has a beautiful girlfriend! Who is she?

  7. Thanks Scott. After googling her I see she's quite a musician. Almost my vintage too :)

  9. Well, I'm in trouble - I was like that after 2 days of skiing!

    If it's any consolation, on any long run I usually think of a least 3 different blog discussions (I think a lot while running - it's why I do it), but you guys never get bored with them. Just know that we enjoy what you DO write!

  10. Scott, your very special award for "Bloggersphere's sharpest political historian - 2007" has arrived safely.

    Speaking of which, you should have seen 'Stairway to Kevin' on the Chaser tonight - complete with 07 pole dancers!

  11. Glad to see you're back in the blogosphere.

    Work should be banned; it gets in the way of real life.
