The rainy season officially started last week and this means, you guessed it, lots of rain. It should rain almost everyday for a month or so but usually we get a few dry ones in between.
I've probably mentioned it but I do like running in the rain, especially warm rain like now. One of the reasons for this is because it was a warm rainy day around 4 years ago that I got up off the couch and did my first run, that is, the first one that began this present obsession.
By the way if you want a Japanese lesson go ahead and download it from the box to the right.
We had a bit of rain before the official start of the rainy season and not a lot since. Yes, today there has been a bit about but not enough to intefere with my running. Supposed to be going on a trail run near Hakone tomorrow with light rain forecast ... should be fun.
ReplyDeleteOh man, I wish our rain was warm
ReplyDelete:-( Could you send some of it our way - and I'll send our cold rain to Melbourne.
Rainy seasons, I remember them well :-)
ReplyDeleteStarting out running on a rainy day is pretty good. I guess it could only get better from there.
ReplyDeleteFour years is pretty good.
Glad you like running in the rain, Scott, as I do to. Some of my best runs have been in that watery stuff.
ReplyDeleteThat was a wonderful post and tribute that you did to your Grandmother. My grandparents left us many years ago but I still miss them, still.
As long as it is warm I too don't mind running in it. I wish it would rain here for a month, the dams certainly need it
ReplyDeleteScott, I love how you manage to take a good natured swipe at Tesso and Clairie when leaving comments. Who taught you that trick?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, your memory is failing. I didn't throw up into the river, I stumbled into the fire!
Your temperatures look beautiful!! I have yet to run in the rain. It rained during one cyclone when I was in Karratha but I was not game enough to go out in it! I've cycled a couple of times in the rain now, but that is not much fun.
ReplyDeleteRain ... is that a Japanese word? .... we don't have it here.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on my blog Scott. Will be reading your blog with interest.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
